There are a few types of carpet that are easy to clean. When it comes to buying a carpet, finding one that can be kept clean is a priority for most people. Although every carpet requires regular cleaning, some fibers and weaves make this a simpler task.

Before going into specifics, keep in mind that purchasing a good quality carpet is the best way to ensure that it can be maintained over time. Any carpet should be dense enough so that the backing can’t be seen when bending the fibers. Denser carpets are more stain resistant. Always find the best quality carpet that you can afford for the best results.

Easy Cleaning Carpets

1.Acrylic

Acrylic is also known as a man-made wool since it closely resembles the appearance and feel of wool. The advantage of an acrylic fiber is that it resists staining, crushing, and moisture. Although acrylic fiber carpets can vary greatly in terms of quality, a good quality carpet will be easy to clean.

2.Nylon

Nylon is the strongest material available when it comes to carpets. Great for highly trafficked areas, nylon is also resistant to mildew, molding, and is an easy material to clean. Because it naturally resists any soiling or staining, this is a popular carpet material. Choose this for any homes with pets or areas that are especially prone to dirt and mud.

3.Olefin

Also known as polypropylene, olefin is also a durable material that will be resistant to mildew and moisture. It has an advantage of being easy to clean and bleach can even be safely used in some cases. Similar to nylon, olefin is a good material for highly trafficked areas and can be used in both commercial and residential areas. Another advantage of this material is that it can be found for a lower cost than most other carpet materials. For the best results, consider a polypropylene blend with wool for easy maintenance along with longevity.  If you have any questions ask Surprise Carpet Cleaning Co.

4.Polyester

Polyester has a luxurious feel and is an easy material to clean, making it a good choice for a home. For an added boost, consider a polyester recycled carpet fiber rug. This material is available in a variety of textures and is more stain resistant that nylon. It is also resistant to mold and mildew. Making for easy cleaning, this is a good choice for anyone who has dust or mold allergies.

These four choices are the best carpets when it comes to maintenance. Although all carpets require regular cleaning, wool rugs and nylon/olefin blends are more prone to staining and may be more challenging to clean. They are not as desirable for a low-maintenance carpet.

In order to get the most from every carpet, make sure to vacuum it on a regular schedule and clean up any spills as quickly as they occur. A synthetic fiber like the ones mentioned above will make cleaning simple and stress-free. These types of carpet will ensure that the material lasts and looks great for as long as possible.
